Exposed section of breezeway

The Hollywood lights, the slope of the hallway, the peeling paint, the moss - where to begin. The breezeway was wide open about the width of a car - apparently to let cars through considering it was paved here. I would imagine this was a pedestrian safety nightmare, not to mention the cost to heat the hallway without any doors.
