Drinking water tower sump

Drinking water tower sump

Despite that it remained in service for nearly ten years after the hotel closed, the sump for the valves was allowed to flood without regard for the engineering need to access and use that valve. The valves in the sump were thoroughly rusted, but worse, there was actually an electrical junction box in the sump which would've powered the sump pump and that junction box was completely submerged. Amazing that they never bothered to just repair the sump pump and keep this space dry.
