Stewart Hall basement door

Stewart Hall basement door

Going back to the first photo depicting an ominously worded "no trespassing" sign, open doors are almost always a defense to criminal trespassing charges. Especially considering that the town went through the trouble to post a few "no trespassing" signs elsewhere, even in places where they really were not authorized to, such as along the roadways which remain legally walkable, it puts them in a position to post signs on almost every building. On many, they did not. But it is unlikely that Stewart Hall would have survived today based on "no trespassing" signs alone.
