Partially demolished Palace Amusements
A construction fence sits around the perimeter of the old Palace Amusements building, extending right into the street. Interestingly, this street is marked with a striped yellow center line, apparently indicating that it was OK to pass over the center line. The red "Danger - Asbestos Hazard" tape is strewn from the fence. This makes me think that the building did not actually contain asbestos. The demolition contractors may have just hung that tape because they wanted to discourage the casual trespasser from the otherwise attractive nuisance here.
