Asbury Park regulations sign
A rather complex and verbose street sign filled with local regulations. There are two issues with this sign. The first is the apparent message "No east of Ocean Ave", and the other is regarding swimming regulations which seems to indicate that you only need to swim in designated areas when lifeguards are on duty. Finally, another use of "please" on what is apparently otherwise a regulatory sign. The sign reads:
Welcome to Asbury Park Boardwalk and Beaches
For your safety and pleasure please follow these rules and regulations
No rollerblades
No skateboards
No dogs or other animals
No bicycle riding 9am to 6pm
No alcohol permitted east of Ocean Avenue
Please swim only in designated areas when lifeguards are on duty.
