Ritz building 3rd floor hallway
Despite the automatic sprinkler system (red pipes) seen here, a fire in the 1980s heavily damaged the third floor of the Ritz building. You can see the fire damage on the right wall towards the door to the end of the hallway. It is likely that firefighting efforts are what caused the insulation to fall.
