A sign warns patrons not to steal the rental skis. Interestingly, it appeared that the rental skis were not even parabolic (shaped) skis, indicating that they were at least 10 years old or more. It would have been very frustrating to learn how to ski here, on straight skis, and find that everywhere else you went skiing had much more advanced equipment. Straight skis require much more effort and leg strength to ride and are considered obsolete.
