The damaged front door

I never noticed the mess on the front door. Everything has been dirtied; this location seems beaten and hurt. I am concerned for it, but it will soon be gone anyway -- torn down for more suburban sprawl in a million dollar neighborhood. Nothing like progress.

He had a dog. Notice how the scratching and claw marks are towards the doorknob. Also, the blinds are relatively dust clean up to the right. Imagine a dog standing on it's hind legs trying to get out.
