Port Authority Bus Terminal panhandling sign
A sign politely requests that bus riders do not give money to panhandlers. The sign reads:
"The Management and staff of the Port Authority Bus Terminal request that you do not encourage panhandling and soliciting. Social Service workers are available throughout the terminal for those who need assistance."
I would be interested to learn what the social services provided consist of, as there is no shortage of panhandlers in and around the Port Authority Bus Terminal. However, it is better today than it was years ago.
