Lounge chair by a Jennie G elevator

Lounge chair by a Jennie G elevator

On the second or third floor of the Jennie G building, on the north side of the building where the elevator bank was, I found this conveniently placed pool chair allowing riders to wait for the elevator. Notice that the indicator panel and the hall call buttons have been ripped out, although it is not clear why. A sign on the elevator door reads, "in case of fire, do not use elevator." As seen in other photos here, these elevators all lacked any modern fire safety systems and supported neither Phase 1 (recall) nor Phase 2 (rescue) fire operations. The light blue color, in contrast to the rest of the yellow-ish hues in this building, really stood out to me. This shot feels very dream-like to me.
