Outdoor motion sensor
I believe this is an outdoor motion sensor, perhaps related to the newly added cameras. Again, since this location was only served by a phone line, it seems that this might have been the actual alarm, wired to the telephone line, and able to call out to let someone know that there are trespassers. The camera did not seem to be remotely monitored, unless it was wireless. The other possibility is that after these sensors tripped an alarm, that someone coming out to investigate would review the video captured and stored on location (this site did have electric power after all).
