American Stage spotlight
"Back in my day, we didn't have fancy LED stage lights; we had someone point a giant incandescent spotlight in our faces when we sang."

And I was one of the guys who ran those lights. Back in 1953 when I started working the lights we had two spotlights in the booth...and I ran 'em both! I was only 13 when I started but nobody seemed to mind, except Ertha Kitt who complained about my lighting while on stage saying, "What do you expect when you have a kid running the lights?!" I remember that to this day.

I was head counselor at the day camp and then co-director from 1956-1968.
