Wallpaper and carpet's revenge
Virtually the entire Pines Hotel was covered wall-to-wall-to-ceiling with the carpeting seen here. After the renovations following the Blizzard of '96, nearly all this carpet was removed, but as you can see, some survived. One other common theme at The Pines is that as wall paper deteriorates, it reveals any other wallpaper beneath.
