Fire damage in the Ritz building
Extensive fire damage on the third floor of the Ritz building. This happened at some point in the 1980s, and although the third and fourth floors were condemned for living, the first two floors remained in use for staff housing. It was also obvious that despite being condemned and so heavily damaged, the staff used the fourth floor area as a hang-out.
