Storage cages in the center court on the 2nd floor of the Palisades Center Mall. This employees only area, like the rest of the mall, exhibits intense disrepair. Ironically, the mall itself is designed with exposed wiring and duct work, so the only distinguishable feature of the actual retail area is the paint job. And, just like the rest of the mall, leaky pipes abound. One rather interesting story in this area involved a condensate pipe that became exposed to open air. The difference in temperature between the liquid in the pipe and the air caused condensation to accumulate on the outside of the pipe, and eventually drip down to the cage contents below. The cage belonged to the Hot Topic store, which suffered a significant loss ($1000s) when T-shirts stored in the cage became waterlogged.
