Perhaps the author of this message simply meant "close the door" not "lock the door", but the message nonetheless was received. Unfortunately, the recipient was unable to comply. However, they did the right thing, and left helpful written feedback, expressing the humor of the situation while acknowledging the shortcomings of the original message.
