Notice, no loitering permitted
Having failed to re-enable the elevator, I climbed the stairs. The dim, flickering fluorescent light cast depressing shadows all around me. No idea what was mounted just below the light. Perhaps it was an older, smaller light? It does look like the drywall had been cut, perhaps to allow the installer to simply pull up and re-use existing electric wiring. Considering how dark it was anyway, it would have been pretty damn dark if the corridor was lit only with a 12" compact fluorescent bulb.
