The Sputnik lamp over the indoor pool

The Sputnik lamp over the indoor pool

A most bizarre light fixture resembling the Sputnik satellite hangs above the indoor pool. Considering this building was constructed around 1959, it perfectly reflects the time in which it was constructed: too late to be part of the Atomic age, but too early to be part of the psychedelic 60s. I have a dream of refurbishing this light fixture with tri-color LEDs and/or fiber optics, but considering how this property, and thus this lamp, are owned by Louis Capelli, it is very unlikely that will ever happen.
