Abandoned pre-fabricated storm drain vaults

There must have been some serious plans to change the drainage profile in the general area, because there were quite a number of large pre-fabricated concrete underground drain vaults. These would provide access via manholes at the surface, allowing maintenance of the underground drains. It was not clear what the intended plan was. Some decaying concrete pipes also sit in a pile nearby.
