Incandescent light in creepy hallway
The creepy hallway in the basement with all the storage rooms was lit by a dim incandescent bulb, controlled by a broken timer knob. The timer would get stuck in the "on" position at 1 minute, leaving the bulb lit unless someone twisted it back to 0, turning it off again.
